Ditas Yamane is the recipient of the Jonathan Tarr Foundation 2014 Humanitarian Award. She has dedicated herself to the betterment of the South Bay Communities and San Diego County through her extensive and widespread actions. Small Business Ownership includes National City Realty Services; DR Marketing & Promotion; The Phone Shop; three award winning local newspapers; and the National City Bears CFA Minor League Football Team Champions.

This civic leader is the Founder/CEO Mubuhay Foundation; Pres/CEO National City Public Safety Foundation; Executive Secretary Morgan Square, Inc; Founding President Filipino American Business Association; Advisory Board, San Diego State University President’s Diversity and Equity Community Advisory Council; and Parent Volunteer at Sweetwater High School.

She has received numerous prestigious awards, commendations & proclamations including recognition from U.S. Congressional Districts; California State Legislature; County of San Diego; City of National City, President of the Philippines; Chamber of Commerce; Kiwanis Club; Asian Business Association San Diego; and six Filipino Organizations.

Ditas and her husband, Rey, have raised a successful family. Darrell and Lou Yamane were just married on Sept 6, 2014, in San Diego. NikkiRae Yamane is a Senior and an academic achiever and an athlete at Sweetwater HS, and BooBoo is the Yorkie who rules the Yamane Family home.

“As a child growing up poor in the Philippines, I made myself a vow that when given the opportunity, I would reach out to others in my own way. I am not rich but I am blessed with a very supportive family and a generous community. I love to help and I will continue to do so. So Help Me GOD.”
