The Jonathan Tarr Foundation is an education-based non profit located in Encinitas, CA., providing Windows of Opportunity Scholarships to a diverse population of under-served boys and girls not normally targeted for academic assistance.
JTF is becoming the leader in the quest to provide higher education and leadership opportunities to students graduating from Continuation, Charter, Magnet, Independent and Secondary High Schools offering alternative education curriculum, including AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination).

Michael H. Woodey died peacefully in his sleep from the final stages of COPD at the Sharp Hospice Parkview Home in San Diego on Friday afternoon Nov 23, 2012. He was surrounded by his daughters Tessa Woodey, Brie Woodey, Baby Grandson Luca Leonardo and wife, Robin Tarr. We are so grateful for the loving care and concern given to Michael by the entire staff of the Sharp Hospice Program since May 2012.
Memorial Services for Michael H. Woodey will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 1 pm Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oak Crest Park Drive Encinitas, CA 92024. Michael was registered with DonateLife.org program as an organ/tissue donor. His legacy goes on...
Michael was actively involved with the Jonathan Tarr Foundation, and served as President from 2008-2010. Donations in Michael’s memory can be made to the Jonathan Tarr Foundation Endowment Fund.
